Abstract

Nowadays people need transport to do their routine work or activity. As the technology improve the progress of the world expand further, synchronize with the development of thechnology people demand mobility everywhere in the world. For that, there are criteria that need to be focus on such as safety and cost. This review is to discuss the hydrogen fuel, hybrid fuel cell and efficiency to achieve same energy as gasoline vehicles. In other words, we can widely develop the use of hydrogen in our society if we improve the hydrogen storage. Moreover this study also focus on inventing new material and concept to meet vehicle requirements. Through this paper we can see that criteria that we must focus on conventional technologies (simple containment) such as high-pressure tank systems and cryogenic storage. Furthermore, there is another method which is, hydrogen-absorbing alloy that has been long investigated but it has several difficulties for the vehicle applications such as low temperature discharge characteristics and quick charge capability due to its reaction heat. We try new idea by combining metal hydride and high pressure. These idea have good result which improve performance such as gravimetric density.
