Abstract

Generally, under the National Land Code 1965, land use can be divided into 3 categories, which are building, agriculture and industrial. National Land Code 1965 acts as main reference for all land related matters while Land office and Department of Town and Country Planning are two main agencies that have power in land use control. Land use planning is very important to prevent any land use conflict and non-compliance of land use. Non-compliance of land use such as misuse of residential or agricultural land for industrial activity would bring problems to the residents in vicinity. Land use which involves interdependencies among individual and communities have significant impacts on economic and social well-being basically becomes an important policy concern [1].
