Abstract

An alternative fabrication method for microdilution chips that address the limitations of traditional methods and ensures transparency, chemical resistance, and biocompatibility is presented in this paper. This work describes the design, fabrication, and characterization of the microdilution chip using mask stereolithography (MSLA) 3D printed mold. The microdilution chip fabrication uses the 3D printed mold for replication in the soft lithography method to produce the polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS)- based final chip. The height of the microdilution chip channel differs by 8% between the MSLA 3D printed mould and the design dimension in software and by 12% between the MSLA 3D printed mould and the PDMS-replicated microdilution chip. The MSLA 3D printer generates trustworthy resolution outputs with a channel width error margin of 50 μm. Two distinct pH solutions are used to successfully test the microdilution devices and show dilution for all outlets.
