Abstract

Today, information technology is getting more and more useful in business environment for managing information flow between all members in supply chain to fulfill the increasing customer demands. There is a growth in the number of companies which manage their supply chain management practices through adopting information technology systems to remain competitiveness in the global market (Bayraktar et al., 2009). However, adoption of new information technology in supply chain management may costly and expensive. For example, implementation of RFID technology involves significant costs that may not be affordable to the organization although it improves business performance effectively (Datta, 2016).
