Abstract

This review paper is discuss the conversion technology of multiple feedstocks and the analysis of the flow characteristic in processing of biodiesel pilot plant system. Based on the research has been done by several researchers, we had determine the types of feedstock is used for the conversion of feedstock's to biodiesel production. Based on the researcher reported that are few types of production process is used to obtain the biodiesel. The process consists of co-solvent system, combination of lipases, two-step method and value-added byproducts. Besides, researchers also study the flow characteristics of biodiesel by setting up a pilot plant system. This pilot plant system is used to study the process of transesterification of feedstock in order to obtain the biodiesel. The field parameters are tested in the experiment carried out by researchers. The parameter is influence of methanol/oil molar ratio on transesterification yield, influence of catalyst content on transesterification yield and influence of temperature on transesterification yield.
