The purpose of this study was to investigate the variations in self-efficacy and study skills and their relationship academic achievement among engineering students. The samples were randomly selected students from the engineering undergraduate programme in the Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. Data on self-efficacy and study skills were gathered using the Self-Efficacy and Study Skills Scales. The Cronbach alpha reliability coefficients were α = 0.88 and α = 0.89 for the self-efficacy and study skills scales respectively. The data analysis results indicate that engineering students have slightly above average self-efficacy and study skills, where females have higher self-efficacy compared to males engineering students and self-efficacy but not study skills is associated with academic achievement (CGPA).
