Abstract

The rapid change in technology and work processes in Malaysian industries may have altered the new demand on skilled manpower, knowledge-workers or 'kworkers' and innovative employee. The purpose of this research was to study the factors affecting the level of learning transfer in National Dual Training System (NDTS) from the aspects of motivation, work environment and trainees' ability. There were 90 NDTS programmes trainees involved in this study. The method used in this study was a survey. The instrument used in this study was a set of questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by using descriptive and inferential statistic. The research findings showed that the motivation aspect has the highest min score, which was 4.9, followed by trainee ability aspect with the min score 4.35. The aspect of work environment only has min score 3.40. The research finding could provide the deeper understanding of learning transfer level in NDTS. Researcher stated some recommendation to be emphasized by the organization to increase the effectiveness level of NDTS programme.
