The objective of reaching mathematics to engineering students is to find the right balance between in-depth understanding and practical applications of mathematical equations. There are instances that students are unable to utilize the mathematical knowledge they have learned in engineering fields. In this paper, we discuss this balance and some practical ways of achieving it based on our experience as a themafician in the teaching of engineering mathematics to engineering students at University Tun Husssein Onn (UTHM). Here. our first ,focus is to discuss the instructional framework on how we inlegrate the modeling of elenlentary electrical circuit systems into Engineering Malhemalics in the Faculty of Electrical and Electronic since 2004/05 academic session. Students' response will be shown. On top of that, our second focus is to present different ways on how to handle engineering mathematics problems, for example in elementary circuit analysis, mathematicians will derive the Ordinary Differential Equations first, but electrical engineers convert the RLC circuil to domain-s whereby bolh are "mathematically equivalent". Besides that, his article offers plenty of relevant examples including algebraic method and residue method in partial fraction, different ways to obtain Fourier series expansion and so on. Through this, we hope to reduce the gap between mathematical iheory and engineering practice among undergraduate engineering students.
