Abstract

The paperinvestigatesthecapabilityofusingaportable16-segmentedElectricalCapacitanceTomo- graphy(ECT)sensorandanewexcitationtechniquetomeasuretheconcentrationprofile ofwater/oil multiphase flow.Theconcentrationprofile obtainedfromthecapacitancemeasurementsiscapableof providingimagesofthewaterandoil flow inthepipeline.Thevisualizationresultsdeliverinformation regardingthe flow regimeandconcentrationdistributionofthemultiphase flow.Theinformationisable to helpindesigningprocessequipmentandverifyingtheexistingcomputationalmodelingandsimu- lation techniques.
