As train industry is developed, it increased train movement and so do rail operating hours. Nonetheless, adverse effects on especially noise induced from train impacted on residents living alongside rail lines, it cause sleep disturbance, hearing loss, high blood pressure and other diseases upon a long period. In order to tackle this issue, inspection and evaluation of noise level LA,max is the initial step to be taken in the area to decide further actions. However this process consumes plenty of time, cost. Thus, a noise level LA,max prediction model is produced and tested to predict the LA,max produced by the travelling trains. The study scope was selected Kelana Jaya Taman Paramount nearby residential area as research field. The main measurement in this study is noise level LA,max, with different parameters taken, that are distance (25 meters and 40 meters chosen), number of cars (two and four cars), and speed. The three parameters were then analyzed with Multiple Linear Regression Models in order to create the statistics linear regression model to predict LA,max. Results shows that highest measurement LA,max from total of 80 samples is 79.20 dBA, induced through a four cars train, 25 meters from track center. Lowest LA,max measurement is produced by a two car train, 40 meters from track center, and the reading is 65.15 dBA. The result also explained speed increase causes LA,max increase, increases in number of cars increase LA,max too, but increase distance would cause reduction in LA,max. The noise regression model produce is LA,max = 43.05 - 1.93 x1 + 2.03 x2 + -1.90 x3, and the model is suitable to apply for resident areas nearby elevated LRT track. Statistical result shows the model is too valid.
