Abstract

The customizable intelligent surface, also known as RIS, is a relatively new technology that could change how radio connections work if it works well. The RIS technology can be used both inside and outside, so the setting in which the sender sends signals can be changed on the fly. There is a different method used here than the active stepped antenna array that is usually used. The function of RIS has been tested in a large number of different real-life situations so that its main idea can be used. This will not only talk about the possible uses, like the system and channel model, the information theory analysis, and the physical implementation and design, but it will also go over the most important signal processing methods, like precoding and channel estimation, as well as prototyping. Finally, we talk about some interesting study ideas that might one day be useful in the area of RIS- assisted messaging
